Welcome to For Your Mind Workshops FIRST movie and craft night for Adults Only. Ages 18+.
After a recommendation from our workshop participants, Kimmi has done the research and we are hosting our first movie and craft night!! It will be on December 5th from 5:30-8:30pm in our studio.
We will be watching the movie Mean Girls and doing a variety of crafts. We will supply the movie, tea, coffee, water and some basic crafts.
We encourage you to bring a snack to share and any crafts you're working on!
A great way to make connections, new friends, build on your community access and support mental health!

About the facilitators:
Hosted by Kim who identifies as part of the queer and neurodivergent communities and has a diagnosed mental illness
Kimmi (she/her/they/them) is a co-owner of For Your Mind Boxes and has long desired to host group workshops. After successfully leading a workshop for Headspace in 2022, she is eager to grow the business and organise more events like this. With a deep passion for mental health and wellbeing, Kim is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for the community.

Join us at our new studio in Geelong! Suite 2, 62 Little Malop Street, Geelong. Around the corner from Hello World. Geelong train Station is the closest public transport. Plenty of paid parking available.
Accessibility of our workshops - Due to a small step into our studio, we are unable to provide a safe ramp for wheelchair users. We apologise for this inconvenience and encourage you to contact us for alternative solutions.
PLEASE NOTE - we only have bathrooms upstairs, public restrooms are close by for those with a physical disability. We do encourage you to use the bathroom before or after the event. We are sorry for the inconvenience of this
Free tea, coffee, water and biscuits available. Welcome to bring snacks and drinks too.
If you are bringing a support worker or carer, please notify us so we can accommodate! If they would like to participate, they can for a discount.
NDIS Participants can use their funding if they are Plan or Self-Managed and community based programs are part of their goals. Please advice us on what line item you prefer to use.

How much is it?
$50 which includes the movie, licensing fees, insurance, tea, coffee, water and basic crafts!

What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, and a drink of water! All materials are supplied and we will have a box of fidget and sensory tools. You are welcome to bring your own fidgets and sensory tools. Tea and coffee available.
Do I need experience?
Absolutely not, it is a fun art class for self-expression and meeting like minded people. Leave perfectionism at the door and come and have fun in an inclusive space!
Where is it?
At our new studio in Geelong CBD. Suite 2, 62 Little Malop Street, Geelong. Walk up Downes Lane to our studio.
How do I get there?
There is plenty of street parking available and Geelong train station is close by.
Can I use NDIS?
Absolutely, if you are plan or self managed! It will come under a community participation code.
Can I bring a carer or companion?
Of course, please just let us know you are so we have the right numbers. They will need to pay a fee to join due to the expense of movie licensing but we will offer them a discount.
I can't make it anymore, what is your refund policy?
Bookings can be refunded (minus a 15% admin fee) 48 BEFORE the class. After 48 hours, we cannot refund the FULL fee. We apologise for the inconvenience. You are welcome to pass the booking onto someone else if you like.
